  • This last summer of 2012, Daniel Zdon was added to the Hamline University Board of Trustees. This proved that having deep pockets was more important than anything else  to Hamline. Hamline University appointed Daniel Zdon as a Board of Trustee DESPITE his recent history of being arrested in a prostitution sting. Once others at Hamline found out about Zdon’s history, Zdon was supposedly removed from the Board of Trustees before Fall semester, 2012. As you can see on the UMC wesbite, Zdon is still listed as a Board of Trustee.
  • Robert Klas, Sr (Life Trustee) contributed over $40,000 to the Republican Party from 2010-2012. See a full report of Klas’ contributions: online or pdf.
  • Thomas McGough (Life Trustee) is considered a “major donor” to the Republican Party
    • Thomas McGough’s company McGough Companies (construction) was contracted to build over six buildingson the Hamline University campus.  “McGough has completed numerous projects for Hamline University, including construction of the Drew Gallery, Drew Residence and Science Halls; Law and Graduate Schools; Robbins Science Hall; the Student Center Hub; student housing; the Walker Fieldhouse; Klas Center and Sorin Hall; as well as renovations and remodeling of the Great Hall, student bookstore, and Manor House” –Hamline University Website
      • For Hamline University to contract their own Trustee’s comapany serves as a conflict of interest.
